Makaio Toft is a writer and producer whose work connects with & amplifies the voices of the next generation of artists.

Her recent projects include her third residency at IRT Theater with Wake, a production of her BFA capstone play HEAT, the short film You Haven’t Changed. She has taken original work to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and previously won a category in the All American High School Film Festival.

Makaio’s long-term goal is to expand her company, 35k, into a sustainable creative studio that develops original theater, film, and television—work built for the evolving landscape of the entertainment industry and the artists who will lead it.
